Decided a Florida trip was the best way to dip back into this after getting both my shots. Was surprised that I felt safe after a couple early pre-vax visits last year. Got to Atlantis a little after 10 and had completely forgotten that smoking was ok in Florida clubs. Club was dark but just like I remembered. VIP rooms to the left in front of bathrooms, a big room full of chairs and tables and a bar to the left. Probably 10 guys and another 10 dancers with one group of latin dancers in a group around one of the tables. Grabbed a fairly expensive beer for essentially a dive bar after paying a 10 buck cover. Girls all did a 2 song set on stage and despite this being a topless joint none of them took anything off during their sets. Was actually really weird to me., I know i've been away from clubs for awhile but they used to actually strip. Had one girl stop and offer me a dance. Said yes to try it out. Was a cute blonde but the dance was lame and at 30 bucks a song that was disappointing. The latin girls also came around but were really pushy and I declined. Watched the full rotation and was just about to leave when a girl next door type came off the stage and sat next to me. Didn't ask for a dance. Just said she was bored and told me she'd never work here again. I appreciated her honesty and asked for a dance. Went for a 100 buck 15 minute VIP and had a nice time. She was really kind and while there was nothing wild going on it was just a nice strip club experience after a lame evening.
