Alexander's Lounge was OK.

After reading several awful reviews about Alexander's Lounge in Google and in here, I became curious about this "dive" bar so I decided to check it out by myself.

As people mentioned, there are no parking available, just street parking, but I realized that a short block away there is an ample free city parking lot where I parked my car, so parking is not really an issue.

Once at the door, it is true that you go a few steps down to get into the club. The description of the club that Sinclair did is pretty accurate. I just want to remark again that it was a clean place, there was no smell of humidity like someone wrote in a past review and also the bathroom was clean and well lit. One thing about the bathroom is that the door does not have a lock, but if you are only going to pee for a minute, I guess it is not a big deal, other than that, it was very clean, with liquid soap and with a paper towel dispenser with a roll of paper for your use.
