Back in the Saddle!
A few drinks out with friends on a weeknight prompted my return to the Sands (now The Playground Cabaret) after a year+ covid break. I think the cost was $10 to get in and $10 for a bottomless drink. Temperature check at the door.
The space looks precisely as it did before the new ownership, right down to the unimpressive VIP assembled from curtains and situated beside the bar. And that DAMN step ½ way across the floor… still there! I didn’t trip on it this time. In attendance this Thursday night were ½ dozen PLs, and in the dancer department: 3 AAs + 3-4 Caucasians, almost all in the A or B cup range, young, and to my eyes cute. Probably no 10’s but some 5-8 range talent. I didn’t recognize anyone from before the break, though I realized later on that I did know one of these ladies… more on that later. I’ve been coming to the Sands since the early 90’s, and I’ve seen a lot of the talent stick around for maybe a little too long, perhaps the new ownership facilitated a needed purge.
There was one light skinned AA (possible Latina) that was tall and thin, had a curvy ass, a fairly bad wig, and some incredible D’s…. dangly, full, nipples out, and promising the kind of soft AA boob goodness that I have come to know through PL-dom. On her frame, they were mesmerizing. I will call her WIGS. Trying to catch Wigs’ attention, I moved seats a bit, but she was locked up by some PL that not only sat talking to her forever, but also kept walking up to drop a handful of ones on the stage for whatever girl was currently dancing. WTF is this out of towners game? Leave aside for the moment that Seattle indie clubs aren’t really “make it rain” style, and are actually all about the private dances. You lock up the hottie, DON’T pay her for a dance, and act like you’re baller dropping $8 in ones on girls who can’t come get a $40 dance from you bc you’re sitting with Wigs? Jackass. Henceforth known as Jackass. I digress.
