3 times a Charm

This was my third trip to TJ and first since COVID. Flights were normal landed SD, bus and trolley to border. Then crossed into mx. 2 girls in front of me couldnt decide which line to use. They decided on the foreigner line and we were the only ones in line. At first I thought that we might just walk through as I didn't see anyone checking papers but there was a guy doing that. He checked the 2 girls then me. I had my passport and FMM in my hand and he took my passport and asked what I was doing and I said visiting a friend. Then he made one of the girls and me go into a side room that had about 4 or 5 other people. I was worried, but still had my FMM in my hand. Another guy at a little desk with a computer called the people out one and a time and was making them pay the 30$ to enter. I was gonna be pissed to have to pay, but I still had my FMM card to play. Everyone else went before me and he gave some guy trouble for having an expired passport. He finally called me, (I was the last one in the room and was not in the room more than 10 minutes) and he looked at my passport card and I showed him my FMM. He acted a little surprised to see the FMM, said I was good to go, but then asked where I was going. I said visit a friend in Tijuana, (then realized he just wanted where, as in no further into mexico than Tijuana) I think I handed him the FMM paper but Im pretty sure he never looked at it. He handed my stuff back to me and let me go. Huge feeling of relief. Then walking into mx I saw the zona limo parked before you even go through the last turn stile. So i asked the guy hong kong? and he let me in. he took me to hk, I tipped him 2$

Went to check in, it was about 330pm. Guy says my room isn't ready yet. I was like wtf? He says 20 minutes. Ok. I go to the grocery store to check it out and get some supplies. Went back and checked in. room 551. Room prices have gone up again recently. shit

Settled in and went and got beer and snacks and finally ready to go down to HK. Chilled for a while got my free drink then went to use the 2 for 1 drink and the bar tender was trying to charge me for both drinks. I explained I had a coupon for 2 for 1 but he would budge so I just walked away. (see below on 2 for 1 drinks) found cecile? have no idea her name, and brought her up. She started at 100 but took 90.
