Not bad, but way too chill...
Maybe it was the Happy Hour timing, but my wife and I stopped into Delilah’s pre-COVID because we like to go to clubs and had not visited this one. We got there about 6:30 pm on a Saturday, because we were going to do a run of Philly clubs, and it was practically empty. Sat to the left of the stage and there were two dancers on stage and about 3-4 circulating the room. The club is very nice and was obviously pretty high-end 15 years ago, but it’s starting to show its age a little bit with the patina of nostalgia. Kind of like a well maintained but not updated Marriott hotel.
Since it was early and the club was dead and they have a full menu, we ordered some food and drinks. The server was pleasant and professional and the food was fine. Mostly fried stuff but edible. The few dancers that were there focused on a couple of regulars. We finished our food and sipped our drinks slowly waiting to see if anyone would stop by the table, but no luck. They focused only on the regulars. We know sometimes dancers are hesitant about couples, because they typically either expect too much and/or cheap out, so we were patient to see if anyone would come by, but no-go. So after about an hour and some change we took off. Nice place, good music, edible food and decent drinks, 0 action. Not a bad experience, but way too chill and slow. Maybe we’ll try it again when the world opens back up at a more interesting hour.
