High expectations, decent time

Back in My hometown for a couple of nights. I decided to hit the Parrot tonight. My first time to the Parrot. I had read a lot about it, so my expectations were fairly high. It is a decent looking club outsider of city limits on the I-10E. Not too hard to find, just look for the big red sign on the left as you are heading east.

The place was pretty nice inside. Especially as you first enter. Looked like it had been renovated. The dance area was fairly typical - sports bar-ish. High ceiling, T-shaped stage with 3 poles. Only one dancer up there at a time (probably due to low attendance / COVID measures).

They did require masks, and temp check at the door, which is appreciated. Once inside, most of the patrons took off their masks at the tables, but wore them walking around.
