Anticlimactic Reopening

It had been over a year since my last visit, so I was as giddy as a schoolboy to learn that they were planning on reopening on 4/1 (at first I thought it was a mean April fool’s joke, but I was assured it was legit).

The night had finally arrived and I made my way to the club. Plenty of free parking at the strip mall they are located at. No exterior lights to show the club itself was open, but you could hear and feel the music from outside.

I was expecting the old doorman to be there, but it seems he has been replaced with a young guy that seemed overwhelmed. Told me the cover was $20 and that I would need to sign a waiver and get screened for weapons. No taco truck outside and no mandatory food or beverage push… they are embracing the fact that they are a strip club and are not about to pretend to be anything else.
