Decent Midweek Dayshift

The location is a light industrial zone and it’s right behind the Del Taco that faces Orangethorpe. The bouncer is in front basically on the sidewalk. It looks like there’s a garage for employee/dancer parking. There’s some construction in a neighboring property, their lot is fenced off. For dayshift the parking was super easy right in front but it looks like it might get tight at night after the 10 spots in front and 10 spots on the left of the building fill up. You may have to spill into the strip mall in front by the aforementioned Del Taco.

Never been before so the layout threw me off a little, the door is clearly marked and the bouncer is on a stool on the side walk. Once you pay, ($10 cover), get patted down, id checked, you go in the door and up a staircase at your immediate right. If you need to piss it’s on the ground floor down a little hallway behind the bouncer and cash register. At the top of the stairs you pop out basically stage left which was a little disorienting especially before eyes adjust from bright daylight. The first thing you see is the bar ahead of you, but there’s a stage at your immediate right and behind you so keep moving along. There was a big dude standing right there in the way of the bar which was the only thing ahead of me that was lit well enough to really see. I didn’t realize until I got past him that he was standing right there in my face to get a good view of the stage show.

In addition to the $10 cover they want a 1 drink minimum ($6 soft drinks) so I went straight for the bar to clear that and get singles. I found only one empty table out of about 10-12 so decent crowd on a weekday afternoon. Lots of empty seating on benches around the wall but felt like it was the only thing lit other than the bar and stage so people sitting on the edge seem to be in spotlight. After I sat ten minutes and my old fart eyes really adjusted I could see the crowd was 80% white with a couple others mixed in but didn’t see a single AA customer. No reason, it may just be the neighborhood. One cute young AA waitress made small talk with me out front but didn’t see her inside later. Dancers were a mix of Latina, Asian, and various whitish types (maybe Persian/Armenian?). In any case all 6-7s. Mostly 20s. Nobody really heavy but a few that weren’t rail thin which seemed to be the average. Not much hustle. I was left alone a good 15 minutes or more before the first girl came by. The DJ called all dancers to VIP and then they announced a showcase special whatever that is but the girls started hustling. The girl that came to me wasn’t easy to see. I laughed and said this is VIP? She said yeah for that price this is it, the $180 vip is a small private room alone, let’s go there! I said yeah no this is good.
