sinclair's Review
I went to Avenues Gentlemen’s Club at 21:30 on a Saturday. I was confused at first because the door on Michigan Avenue was slightly propped open with a rope across the entryway, but there was no bouncer manning the door. After driving around the block, I realized the entrance to Avenues was on the rear of the building. The Saturday night crowd already overwhelmed the small parking lot, so I ended up parking in the Jackson Amtrak station's gravel lot.
There was a $5 cover. You have to write down your name and cell phone number on a legal pad because of Michigan’s Gatherings and Face Masks Epidemic Order. The club is not enthused that they have to pester customers to give up their privacy, but if Avenues doesn’t, it could get fined or have its business license revoked. You can probably get away with just putting a fake phone number down. There did not seem to be a strictly enforced mask requirement to enter, and less than twenty percent of patrons wore masks inside of the club.
Facing towards Michigan Avenue from the back of the club, the bar is along the left wall, the stage is on the right wall, and the washrooms are on the left as you enter. Private dances take place in the basement via a stairway. Lap dances are $20 per song and full contact. There is a $5 tax each time you take a dancer for private dances. Some dancers might offer extras, but I did not ask for any. The stage show also offers good value for a few bucks. Dancers were simulating doggy-style sex on me as I tipped them. I did some groping as I shoved dollars into their g-strings. The stage has four brass poles, one hanging curtain, and a hanging ring. Dancers did three song sets on stage.
