Same as it ever was
By this point, you’ve likely visited Bogarts and know exactly what you’re getting when you walk in the door. This was my first trip back since things have shut down and this is probably the most sanitary the club has ever been (which isn’t difficult considering). I was on my way home from work and didn’t stay long but was able to get the full Bogarts experience. Beer price had increased from $6.75 to $7, I’m assuming to avoid making change, which I hope stays. I never understand the waitress and I passing back and forth the same quarter when making change and tipping.
I was greeted immediately by a handful of dancers, likely looking to make up for lost time. The Bogarts handshake was in full effect for everyone that said hello. Overall, there were about 17 dancers on, mostly in the normal 6-8 range, mix of races and body types, which is nice if you’re not a creature of habit. I wore a mask to enter, removed it at my seat, and the dancers did the same. There seemed to be more eagerness for negotiating price before heading up to the VIP with slight variance from menu to menu.
If you liked coming here before, you will still like it. If you’ve never been, it’s a very relaxed atmosphere with strong dive bar energy. I always feel quite at home here and leave with a smile on my face.
