Dancers Was Disappointing

I have been coming to Cocoa Beach every February for 15 years. The warm weather and golf are great but the strip club experience was always outstanding. I would take an occasional trip to Lidos or Cheaters but 90% of my strip club money was spent at Inner Room. It felt like a neighborhood hangout...crowded bar, free shot in the afternoon, lots of dancers and $10 laps. I have traveled extensively and IR was my favorite club in the US.

Today was my first trip to the newly named Dancers Royale. The inside is very chic. Huge bar area and fancy lights. But there was no joy...no fun. 10 customers and 5 dancers on a rainy Saturday afternoon. With a cold beer I sat at the bar to get a feel. The stage lighting was so dark it was hard to see if the dancer was topless. When not on stage the dancers stayed with their regulars. You now have to go outside on a patio to smoke (bad for me but I am sure others are happy).

After 45 minutes I had seen enough, finished my beer and left. I only saw two guys get one lap dance apiece. I remember times when you had to search for space to get a dance. I am not the one paying the rent but to me someone has overspent on remodeling and ruined one of the best clubs in America. Maybe I will buy a new set of irons with the $1000 I usually spend in clubs during my month in Cocoa Beach.
