Getting out before the winter storm
Was out trying to enjoy the one decent day we have had in a while. Had not been to this establishment before and was in the area so I stopped in about 5:30 PM. As stated the parking area out back is mostly mud and a little gravel but it was cold enough that most of it was frozen while walking to the back door. The back door is a couple steps up into what was usually called a mud room but very small.
Before you enter the back door, to the left is a wooden fenced in area that is I imagine, used in the summertime as a smoking area. Once inside the mud room there is the entrance door on the right and another step up. Door handles and railings are made of pipefittings, which goes well with the blue-collar atmosphere that this place puts off. Entering the back room is the pool table and it looks like one chair in the corner. Walking forward into the bar area, which is narrower than almost any bar I have ever been in, there is men’s room on the left and next to that the ATM machine. Also along the left wall is a two person tall table, probably 2 ft x 3 ft stage with a pole and Christmas lights sill around the mirror behind the stage. Then another two-person table and finally a couple of ‘video machines’ that seem to in use my entire time there.
On the right side is the bar almost all the way down. Since I read about the smoking inside I decided to sit at the bar close to the pool room and maybe avoid some of the heaver smoke? ordered a drink and proceeded to see what this place had to offer. From what I could tell there were about 4 or 5 dancers in the club and maybe a few more customers. Bar has probably not been updates since the 80’s or 90’s. Bar top is a little rough. They have lattes work hanging above the bar area with lights that were not on.
