Not a Great Visit, but at Least it's Open - For Now
This is the first of two reviews of strip clubs I visited in Philadelphia in observance of Inauguration 2021. The first strip club I visited was Oasis. The second one was Cheerleaders Philly. Oasis is a small club that’s not a dive, but it’s not a mid-tier club either. It’s what I would say is a step up from a dive club that has aspirations to be a mid-tier club, but it doesn’t have the space or the décor to be in the mid-tier market. Most of the floor space of the club is a gigantic rectangular bar that has two separate square stages set very closely together in the middle of the bar. Each stage has its own pole. Because the stages are surrounded by the bar, you can’t approach the stages to tip. The girls come around and do a tip-walk after their set. There are two large projectors casting TV/cable broadcasts against the wall, and perhaps 2 or 3 large TVs showing sports. There really aren’t a lot of flashy lights or glitzy decorations. It’s pretty bland on the inside.
I arrived around 1:00 p.m., and there were about 5-6 cars in the parking lot. It turns out most of those cars were employee cars as there was only one other PL inside when I went in. The front desk guy (not a girl) took my temp, but didn’t require that I fill out a waiver form or a sign-in sheet, even though the web site said that you would be required to do that before you could go in. Masks are required to go in, but you don’t have to wear it once you’re in. All staff wore masks, but they weren’t really too strict about the mask wearing. There were only three girls working – an AA who was really thin and fit with A/B cups, a white girl who turned out to be Brazilian with A cups, and a MIDWF (Mother I Don’t Wanna Fuck) who had HUGE bazongas that were super enhanced. AA and Brazilian we both cute – I’d rate them 6.5-7. MIDWF was nice, but waaaayyyy past her prime – rating was about a 4-5. She was literally in her 50s. At some point, a dancer just has to hang up her heels and call it a career, which she should have done more than 20 years ago.
In order to be open during the Corona, Philly clubs have to serve food, so I ordered wings and a water for a total of $16.25. $10 for the wings – maybe $5.50 for the water, and the rest was tax? Since it was very early, they were just getting started, and each of the girls did two-song sets once things got going. This is a topless place, and barely at that. The girls didn’t really fully take off their tops – they just pulled their tops down or up a little to be exposed, and that’s it. Once the girls finish with their sets, they circulate the room for tips. At least, I think a tip was expected as they went up to each PL there to say hi, so I tipped each one when they did a drive by. I don’t know if this was the custom here, but I think it is based on my visit to Cheerleaders later in the afternoon where the tip-walk was a thing.
