A loud hip-hop club that is a place to party.

This club is located on Westheimer Rd in the Galleria area. It is across the street from Vivid. It has undergone multiple name changes. At the height of its popularity, it was called Baby Dolls, but is not related to the club of the same name in Dallas. It is now operated by Polekatz which is a national chain headquartered in Chicago. It is a pretty small club and is on a very small lot with almost no parking. You will almost always have to valet your car here. I pull up on a Sunday night after midnight because my friend called me up and wanted to go. This friend is a dancer who works at another club but likes to hang out at Polekatz. She wanted to get some shots and she figured that I would be willing to pay for them. Anyways, it's kind of expensive. The valet is $20 and it normally costs $20 each for us to get in, but my friend is a friend of somebody ( don't know exactly who so I didn't ask) so they let us in for free. The drinks are sky high, close to $20 each for top shelf shots. You have to wear a mask to get in, but once you are inside most of the customers take them off. Of course, staff is masked up.

For a Sunday night it's very busy. There are about a dozen tables around a big main stage and a small side stage. There is a large end at the back of the room. Almost every table was full with guys smoking hookah. The smoke is thick and completely permeates the club. The girls are pretty young. There is a range of white, black and Latin dancers mostly in the 7 range. Most are pretty skinny but there are a couple of curvier ones, but nobody is overweight. The music is unbelievably loud, like at a rock concert. It's a total party atmosphere in the main room. My friend gives me a tour of the other spaces in the club. There is a side room that is a lot quieter. This room has bench seats all around and another stage is under construction. You can hang out here to have a conversation. Further back, there is a lap dance room with bench seating. Everybody sits facing the middle of the room and it is well lighted so there is absolutely no privacy. A few people originally get dances in there. My friend shows me the upstairs. There is nobody up there but it is about the same size as the main floor. There is a bar there but it is not being used. Most of the upstairs are VIP areas that have a lot of couches and day beds with big pillows. It looks like there is a lot of privacy up there. I don't know much it would cost, but apparently you have to pay the club an hourly fee, and the club pays the dancer from that fee. My friend estimated that it would cost about $500 per hour, but it could be more depending on what of alcohol you ordered.

So my friend asks me to grab a dancer to give her some lap dances. She gets a few in the back room while I watch. That gets her hot so my friend and I moved over to the side room and make out for a while, but nothing too crazy because we don't want to be kicked out. My friend is hotter than any of the dancers so I'm not that interested in the other girls. We hang around for a while drinking and making out, moving back and forth between the different rooms. Occasionally, we would watch and tip the stage girls. We would get a few dances here and there from the hotter ones. This place seems to be open until 4 even on a Sunday, so my girl and I just hung out until they closed. They don't seem to have a set closing time. They just stay open if people want to hang out. I guess that's ok as long as they are not ordering new drinks.
