Desperate times call for wasting money
This visit is from a a few weeks ago. CoVid rules have shut down most Illinois bars and restaurants, But Scarlett's Has figured a work around. The have a open air back patio that is opened up by utilizing garage style doors. You pay your cover ($10- i think) to a girl in the front parking lot and walk around back. They have a stage set up in the back area and folks were not obliged to wearing masks...we're outdoors so it must be safe. Not a lot of customers and about 5-7 dancers - mostly milling around. There is a reason strip clubs are dark and usually bathed in red lights. The girls in the daylight looked harsher than normal and took away from the fantasy element for sure....You have been warned.
After sipping on my beer for a while one of the lounging girls came by and sat with me. Discussion of current events and new restrictions at the club. The only dances available started at $50 per song, inside in a VIP room. (songs were shortened to a little more than 3 minutes.) #0 and 60 minute packages were available but at a crazy price. You can obtain a sure thing escort at your hotel for less. For the sake of research I opted to try one dance for $50. She complained that I needed to do at least 3. Should have stopped there, but honestly, the lack of options for clubbing these days had me really wanting to go with it.
We went in the club and it was weird to see it so empty. Dancer had to find the guy who takes your money ahead of the dances in order to start. Once started in the private little room, the upsell began. It seemed like the dances would be pathetically lame if one didn't opt for pay to play. Lil' Jimmy got a hold of my wallet and empty out another $ for some handiwork. (who's pathetic now?). The end result was decent, but so not worth the expense. Especially in Washington Park.
