First bite at the Ritz
It was a lazy Friday and I found myself on the south side of Houston for no good reason. Seeing as I had a few hours to kill and had never previously ventured into the Ritz, I figured this was a good day to make that first visit.
When pulling into the Ritz, you can either enter via the 45 Gulf freeway entrance or via a poorly marked entrance off of Clearwood/Edgebrook near the Pizza Hut. The valet parking is 5 dollars and is located at the 45 Gulf Freeway entrance. On this occasion I used the Clearwood/Edgebrook entrance, which takes you to the back of the club and I did not have to pay a parking fee. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a cart driver who will drive you to the entrance, but he didn't seem to be paying attention while I parked and I made the short walk to the entrance.
Currently, during COVID, a mask is required to enter; however once inside it is not required for customers, or at least it is not enforced for customers. Apparently TABC paid a visit in early December and right now all the dancers are required to wear a mask while dancing on stage. This was strictly enforced, though the women could have the mask down to an extent on the floor and off during private dances.
