A horrible waste of time

Centerfolds has been a staple of the Houston club scene for decades. It has been a second tier club ever since Treasures opened, but Covid has accelerated its descent to rock bottom. I got there late on a Saturday night to see if I could see how my old waitress friends were doing. Being that the waitresses I knew were on the older side of 60, I was afraid for them. It turns out I was right to be as almost all the long-time waitresses were forced into retirement by the dangers of Covid.

The entry fee was $12. I will take your temperature at the door and you must wear a mask to enter. If you don't have a mask, they will sell you one for a couple of dollars. Other than the plexiglass barriers around the bar, there did not seem to be any other precautions. Dancers for the most part did not wear masks, but bartenders and managers did.
