Weeknight at Chicas

After being cooped up over the last several months due to the pandemic, I decided that it was time that I took a trip out to see how some of the clubs were doing and settled on Chicas Cabaret. Chicas hours are from 6pm to 6am and it has a reputation for being much more lively after midnight. This is also a B.Y.O.B. establishment. There was free parking behind the club, though the very back of the parking lot is not well lit.

As I'm a working stiff, I ventured into the club around 9pm on a weeknight. Sure enough, there were only around 4 - 5 customers at the club at the time. Outside the club are signs posted notifying the customers that pursuant to Harris County a mask currently would be required to enter. I dutifully put my mask on as I entered the premise. At entry there is a metal detector that one has to walk through and a security officer on patrol. Entry fee was $20 bucks. A wrist band for the dance area is also $20 and there is a VIP room, which I was told by the door attendant was a $100 bucks to enter. I decided on just the wrist band for the night. A bottle of water will cost you $5 bucks, or you can bring in your own refreshments. When I entered the club, I noticed that none of the dancers or other employees were wearing a mask, and only a few of the customers had theirs on as well.
