Better luck next time

The Landing Strip is a bit far from me compared to my usual places, but I pop in from time to time. I had some time last Thursday afternoon, so I made the drive. It is near the airport, with a $7 valet charge (I usually just leave $10 when I head out). Most of the time, they do not give a valet ticket, but so far I have not been burned by that.

I headed up the stairs, got temperature checked, and gave some optional info for covid tracking (the government is making them ask, but you are not required to provide any information to enter). No cover during the day. I sat at a table, ordered a drink, paid $10-11 including tip. Wait staff was fairly attentive. There were a couple of dancers on the stage when I entered. Probably fewer then 10 dancers when I arrived around 2 pm, but probably another 5 or so arrived by the time I left a couple hours later. Nice diverse mix, mostly white and black dancers, mostly attractive, 6-7 overall. A few I recognized as having worked there for a while, but no one I had met before. Not too many other patrons were there during my stay, maybe 5 or 6, plus a group of 4 (looked like a work crew). Lots of room to spread out. I didn't leave with any smoke smell (which I have left with in the past on occasion).

I tipped a couple dancers, one came over, but unfortunately, we could not come to an agreement (plus, I was less enthusiastic once we had a chance to talk briefly). I stuck around a bit longer hoping to maybe see the elusive J***a or anyone else I had previously met, but no luck today, though they had 3 dancers on the stage by the time I left. I ended up leaving before rush hour so I could stop at Flight Club on the way home. More luck there (though it was similarly quiet).
