Left lighter in the wallet and other things

Had been traveling after not being on the road for months and was anxious to dip back into depravity. My experiences in Indy were so lame the adjudicators deemed my review unworthy. I had money to burn and the Cricket has always provided an outlet for leaving with a lighter wallet as well as other things. Arriving in the afternoon I was able to get in without a cover. Don't know if I dodged a bullet or if that is the norm. Wore a mask until my beer arrived and surveyed the talent.

There were about 10 dancers working, most cuddled up with regulars in the booths and all over the scale between 5-8. I didn't see much traffic in/out of the lap dance area. Was about 3/4 through my first beer. ($7 with tip, i think) when a slim goodie joined me at my table. We discussed what she'd been doing during the shut down and what she missed the most about working at the cricket. Number one answer: Money.

She asked about dances and I was ready to go. I had to pay the toll/troll fee of $10 to get to the back area and then it was to a small curtained off section. The dirty blond (more ways than just her hair) and I had agreed that our favorite singer from the 80's was Billy Joel and for $200 she would perform a few of his hits. My little friend was standing at attention (wearing his own mask) and giving her a standing ovation but just couldn't get his words out. Hastily we agreed to add $100 to hide him for a few minutes in anther dark wet cave. That did the trick after awhile we were both damp with sweat and other fluids. Probably paid too much for the venue but it was definitely needed.
