Baltimore sucks, but this place is on an upswing
I hadn’t been here since long before the coronageddon March shutdown but a couple of decent reviews had me curious to check it out and I’m glad I did. I visited during Friday happy hour and again on Saturday around the same time, 6-8p.
No cover on the Friday entry, but a temperature check and ID scan. I don’t like the scan but unless I start carrying my passport, I’ll put up with it. Bouncer informed me that I had to buy a food item. Beers are still about $7 plus tip depending on what you drink. For the food item, they had chips and salsa for $3.50 and you could go up from there. Incidentally, on Saturday there was a cover, I think $10, even though I got there before 6p and there were only 5 dancers and about as many customers in the place. There were football games on the TVs. The bartender didn’t enforce the food purchase requirement like she had the day before.
Dancers still do a couple dances on stage, with most getting fully nude by the second song, and then a tip crawl around the bar where you’re expected to give a buck or two. In busy times, you’ll have two dancers on stage simultaneously, in less busy times it’ll only be a single dancer and sometimes a break song with nobody on stage. It’s probably a minimum of $10/hour in tip walk tips.
