Post-COVID and New Management Update
Was in Roanoke VA for business, which is rare, so I don't visit this club often. Last time I was over a year ago, in 2019 long before COVID-19. This club is also under new ownership/management, and is now called Headlights Gold Roanoke (though many still seem to refer to its former name of Gold & Silver). I believe it's new management is based out of Headlights Gold Gentleman's Club in Portsmouth VA. Regardless, my review provides an update for both post-COVID and the new management.
Paragraph 1: "PLACE: One paragraph should describe the PLACE. Mention cleanliness, thug factor, music level, dj annoyance factor, lighting, etc." This aspect has been largely affected by new management. The last time I visited, in 2019, the place was a bit run-down; bathroom was filthy; stage was awkwardly positioned, and the chairs and couches uncomfortable. Compared to the last time I was there, the club is now in *decent* shape. New lighting, new stage with 2 poles, 2 new secondary stages off to either side. The non-alcoholic bar is the same (if you want alcohol, you have to go the bar next door, literally a 10 second walk away). I was disappointed in the chairs. Instead of typical club-style chairs, they just had these mall food-court style 4-leg chairs, which aren't very comfortable nor professional. An upgrade from the 2019 chairs though. The upstairs couch dance area is in decent shape, seems like they replaced the couches (which is good, because in 2019 the couches were similar to what you'd expect to find in your drunken uncle's basement). I didn't have time for VIP, so do not know what it's like. DJ and music choice is obviously different under the new ownership. In 2019, music was metal, alt, rock, classic rock, country, etc, with very little hip hop. Music during this visit was similar to what you'd expect for an east coast strip club, more hip hop with some EDM/Dance sprinkled in. Overall the new management has improved the club, but there is still some work to do. It's the only club in the area, so the lack of competition is probably not helping. Masks - masks are "required" but some of the customers seemed a little lax in wearing them, and I didn't see anyone obviously enforcing them.
Paragraph 2: "PEOPLE: Another paragraph should describe the PEOPLE. How were the dancers. How many were there? What ethnicities did you see? Did they seem happy to see you?" Roughly 10 dancers that I observed. I actually recognized at least 1 from 2019. She apparently has born a child since I last visited. The rest were new to me, and it was fairly busy with regulars so I didn't get much chance to meet many of them. I tipped at the stage until all the dancers had performed a set. IMO the dancers ranged from 5 to 8. The 5s were cute enough but either looked like they recently became moms or had that drugged-out look. Personalities varied quite a bit...some were very friendly, others seemed like they didn't want to talk. Ethnicities: 70% white, 20% black, 10% hispanic. The only dancer I had a chance to spend any time with was "Uki", a blond with that hot MILF/naughty-teacher aura. She was quite friendly, talkative. I tipped her generously at the stage and we agreed to do some dances after her set. I avoid VIP in clubs I don't frequent and don't have time to properly scout, so we agreed on price for couch dances. Couch dances seem to work like this: the club charges the dancer ~$15 per song, so the dancer then haggles her price with the customer. This results in most dancers charging a total of ~$35 per song. For south-central VA, this seems steep, but I'm from DC area, so it's not that bad relatively. "Uki" dropped her price to $25/song if I promised to tip her at least $20... seems like some haggling could be done here, not sure, maybe the locals can fill us in on how to best manipulate the economics at this club. The dances were *decent*. She let touch her tits and ass. Masks stayed on. Bottoms stayed on. Decent grind. She didn't get hands-on herself. I would have liked to sample more dances from others, but I was short on time and actually had trouble finding another available dancer (as I mentioned earlier, seemed to be quite a few regulars keeping the girls occupied). In this short visit, I was not able to collect any info on whether or not extras are available ITC or OTC.
