Weekend Warning
This is more of a heads up than a review as we never made it into the club. After a day of watching college football, we took a ride share to the club to meet up with a couple of others who had headed there earlier in the evening. Arrived around 9:30 and the first thing that we noticed was the line to get in extended out into the parking lot. Not a good sign. According to one of the parking valets, we would probably wait at least an hour to enter. They’re following Atlanta guidelines during the pandemic and won’t let you in unless there is an available seat.
We texted the guys already inside who responded that there were plenty of seats available at the bars. The people in line were apparently waiting for a table (their restaurant has become a trendy spot to eat). One of my friends walked up and asked if we could enter to sit at the bar. The answer was no and that we would have to wait in line. For curiosity’s sake, he asked if anyone waiting in line was looking to sit at the bar. Almost everyone was waiting for a table for dinner.
While this was going on, we waited outside and saw a SUV pull up and the driver had a long conversation with the parking valet. Eventually, they left and I asked what that was all about. He said that they wanted to park there and then go to the nightclub up the street. I guess they used to allow this if you tipped them enough but stopped after the gunfire in the parking area last month involving people from that club. However, what’s stopping someone from just walking into the club and exiting a few minutes later and taking a detour up the street? Well, making them wait in line for an hour to pay a $20 cover goes a long way to keep them from trying.
