This was my second visit to Bonkers since COVID. The first visit was too soon. I wasn't ready. Since I have visited a few other clubs I was intrested in testing the place out again as it had been one of my favorites in the past. I arrived at about 9 and found 8 dancers on a thursday night and about the same number of dancers. No one was wearing masks which is pretty much the way Wisconsin is right now and why our numbers look so bad. I admit I caved to peer pressure and put mine in my pocket. Hope I don't regret it this week. This really is a townie bar with a giant stage and bright christmas icicle lights hanging above. The dancers were all doing three song sets with most getting down to nude by the third song. I ordered a pretty cheap beer and headed over to a table by the stage. Wasn't much tipping going on so I proved popular as I dropped a few dollars here and there. A nice looking blonde stopped by after her set and asked me to buy her a drink. I did and she stayed and talked for awhile. Said she had just started back and was still getting used to things. She was pretty and friendly, and I asked for a dance, and she said she'd be right back. A full 30 minutes later she was back on stage for her turn on the dance rotation and yelled to me that she was sorry she forgot about me. That was enought to call it a night. Two strikes on Bonkers for me since they've reopened. Not sure if I'll give them a chance for three.
