New and Improved - really
I've been coming here for like 25 yrs. I'm typically a day shift guy because evenings can be sketchy. The old trap was always a place for value and not the best for quality.
I came in tonight to watch sports and to check out the remodeling. Well, the old Trap is gone. This new Trap is clearly a cut above. Yes, the parking is the same ($1) self park but there is a real entrance and a completely new interior. Cover was $10 after a temperature check. It was about 1/3 full so I felt I that I could be safe. Beer was $7.
The ground floor has a center stage that is about 40 feet long with poles at either end. There are 2 bars downstairs. The south side has the kitchen, dressing room, and open lap booths. Two dancers work the main stage and then move onto a catwalk on the west side. There's tables on the main floor with booths along both walls. The east side seemed to be set up for VIP with ice buckets and ropes. Everything is new and upscale. The menu was reasonable - maybe $15 for lunch.
