The Temporary New Normal

Just returned from my monthly trip to San Diego/Tijuana. I will be including all of the logistics in this review since my last review was labeled a "dear penthouse" letter. After rereading it, they were not incorrect.

Arrived by air to San Diego and obtained a rental car. Got a Volvo VX60 and the car drives itself. Literally. Spent the day in San Diego with Family and headed to TJ around 9pm. Drove to the border and parked behind Jack-in-the-Box. Paid $12 for eight hours, cash only. Walked across the border through the locals line with my passport and visa. There was not line and nobody checked my documents. After clearing customs with no issues I took a $5 taxi to Hotel Cascadas where I had a reservation for four nights (remember to walk all the way out to the curb to get a taxi. I've been robbed by the gypsy taxi guys calling over the fence).

The check in process at Hotel Cascadas was seamless. Paid a total of $242 for four nights in a Master Suite plus a $50 refundable mini-bar deposit. On the way to the room I picked up extra towels and bubbles from one of the room attendants for the Jacuzzi. There are never enough in the room especially if you are bringing more than one bar girl up. Dropped my things in the room and went to the "club" on the 7th floor PH Suite.
