Back on the Saddle
I stopped into Bourbon Street on Saturday afternoon, but it didn't quite quench my thirst, so I decided to also make a quick stop into The Hi Liter. I arrived around 4:00pm, the parking lot was maybe half full. They had a sign on the door indicating that masks are required, that you must be seated by a doorman, and that they were limiting capacity to 50% occupancy.
Sure enough there was a doorman waiting at the entrance. Still no cover charge at this time of day. They did a quick temperature check, but no ID scan or security pat down. Upon entering the club and taking in the crowd, I'll be generous and say they were right at their 50% occupancy limit. Hopefully, they have someone monitoring that as I'd hate to see them shut down for such a ridiculous reason (like the 2 Old Town Scottsdale bars were shut down on the first night of re-opening). No masks were required once you were at your seat. They were not serving draft beer (not sure why), so I paid $5.50 for a bottle of Bud Light.
Anyways, I digress, there were lots of girls working, I'm going to guess at least 20, I'd rate them in the 6-9 range, mostly white and latina. The girls are required to wear masks while working the floor, although not if sitting with or dancing for a customer.
