Saturday night at the Cabaret
Portland is still in Phase 1 of COVID reopening, so all the clubs that are open have to close at 10pm. Cabaret was one of the clubs I hadn’t been to post COVID, so I decided to try it out.
I strolled in around 7pm last Saturday. Lots of cars in the parking lot, so it looked like a good sign. There is a sign on the entrance that says “no marijuana on premises”. It makes sense because the area Cabaret is located in has a lot of drugs. I bet the club had a lot of problems being brought in the club or outside the club.
The cover was $5. As others have pointed out, the club has a stadium feel seating. The club has three levels of seating. I thought it was a nice different feel. Drink prices were normal, I think it was $5 or something for a rum and coke. The crowd was younger, and more blue collar. It got packed after 9 pm. There aren’t any seats at the tip stage, if you want to tip the girl, you have to walk to the stage and just put the money on the stage. There is a smoking patio in the back where a lot of people were hanging out.
