Daytime fun at Polekatz's $10 Tuesday
It's been a while since my last visit to Polekatz... close to a year, maybe. Granted, I've been locked down in a bunker for the last five months. As a daytime clubber, I chose Polekatz to be my first post-Ronas club visit since their Tuesdays have always had strong showings and since they're actually open during the day. Reminder: Tuesdays are $10 topless and $20 nude, so it's their busiest weekday offering. I usually hit up Heavenly Bodies on days due to proximity, but they're currently evening/night only, and I was a little curious if any of their dayside lineup would branch out this far (they didn't).
Polelatz has always had valet parking, though new to this visit was a $5 charge for the "service." Fine, whatever, I chalk this up as the daytime equivalent to cover. The interior remains the same as before: VIP upstairs to the left, main stage with poles on either end as you enter, an island bar further to the right, followed by a small side stage and lounge. Budweisers clocked in at about 7 bucks (I wasn't paying too close of attention). I believe the tables were spaced out from each other more than previously, and there were no stools for sitting around the bar. Very nice lighting, not too dark or too bright. Two giant screens showing sports on both sides of the main floor. Overall, a professional and clean feeling.
Currently, you need a face mask to enter, and dancers walk around with masks on as well. Obviously, you don't have to wear one while sitting and drinking, and you can still treat the ladies to drinks as they come by. Erring on the side of caution, I kept my mask on while interacting with the talent, and they did the same. Masks stayed in during private dances, as well.
