Slow Sunday - Pretty Dancers

Since my state still has a partial lock down and bars and nightclubs are closed, I thought I'd try a club in New York. This was the only open place hat was close enough. When I got there, the parking lot was nearly full. There was a metal detector at the door, but it wasn't being used that night. You have to be wearing a mask to enter, just like everywhere else and the cover was ten dollars. But, they do give you a bag of chips to bring in. I think that is for the New York covid rules. The restaurant has a large bar with a raised stage behind it. It looks like there is a second floor with tables that also has a view of the stage. A bottle of beer was 5 bucks.

Where were only 3 or 4 other guys sitting at the bar when I got there. And there were 4 dancers at first on the floor, but later a couple more appeared. They were all very good looking. Mostly girl next door types. The girls would dance for two or three songs and then the stage would be empty for a few songs until another girl when up there.

It took a while for anyone to come up to me. The dancers mostly hung out at the bar talking to regulars, I think. The first one to come up to me just asked my name and if I wanted a dance. When I asked how much dances were, she said they were only doing 15 minute, 30 minute and hour dances that night. The 15 minute was $125 plus tip. I said no thank you since she didn’t really seem to want to bother even talking to me. A little while later, another dance came up to me and asked if I would buy her a drink. Again, no real small talk before the ask, just the ask. I declined. A third dancer did come and sit down next to me and we talked for a while. She was very nice and did ask me if I wanted a dance. Since I had never been there, I didn’t want to start out with a 15 minute, $125 dance for my first experience, so I said no thank you to her too. There were a few girls that I would have liked to come over, but they were just hanging out at the bar talking to the other dancers. Eventually, I finished my beer and left. I don’t think this is a bad club. All the dancers were very good looking. But it was a Sunday and there was not a lot going on. Good news is that it only cost me around $25 in cover, beer and tips.
