Busy Friday night in a snowstorm
This review is from a trip in January. Arrived on a Friday around 6:45 pm.
Had an opportunity to try this place out on a Friday night after moving recently to the Chicago region. Crappy thing was there was a pounding snow storm and traffic was a mess so it took me forever to get here. Nonetheless, the place was busy! Many male and female customers filling almost all the tables, only a few empty bar seats left, and a few people playing pool. Honestly, I've been to clubs that had the "neighborhood bar" feel to them, but this legitimately just felt like a normal drinking establishment with a few girls walking around in bikinis and nylons (no stage whatsoever, as described before). I've definitely never been to a bar with this many female customers just acting like it was a totally normal place to be. I honestly liked it because it made it feel like a very comfortable place to just hang out.
Took a seat at the bar, I had some money on the Bulls game and luckily it was on tv so I had something to watch since I was there by myself. Before I could do anything an older dancer with a lot of cleavage came and hounded me trying to take me for a dance. She had been sitting a table in the middle when I walked in and I had intentionally avoided eye contact as she was not attractive. But she was on me right away and after a brief polite conversation I told her I wanted to get a beer before going for any dances and maybe I'd check in with her later. She went back to her table and kept looking around the room like a hawk for her next prey. I ordered a Modelo for $5 and started watching the game.
