It Ain't Shit
This past Sunday afternoon, I decided to make one of my first strip club visits since the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Since Follies is still closed for whatever reason, I decided to make a trip to the next best strip club that is open on Sundays: Club Blaze.
The club is located in a somewhat industrial section of Moreland Ave not too far off from I-285. Parking and cover is free during the day until 7:00. I arrived around 2:00 in the afternoon and stayed about an hour. The layout hasn’t changed all that much honestly despite the social distancing recommendations. A lot of the chairs and tables are still close together and not closed off in between. There is an upper level which is where you enter the club and there is a lower level right past the main stage. The upper level is more of a party atmosphere and the lower level is typically more of a relaxed atmosphere with a slightly greater chance of better dance mileage. I usually spend most of my time and money downstairs on the lower level.
The music is mostly rap and the songs were OK. For the most part, the songs were played out fully. The DJ spoke quite a bit; however like most DJ’s in black clubs he would chastise those that weren’t tipping the dancers on stage. He did an acceptable job although he could have talked a little bit less.
