Visited: Thursday Evening

Went to Christina’s Thursday evening. The owner installed some temporary chain link fencing around the back half of the parking lot and lined it with semi-opaque fabric and decorated with tiki torches. A small stage with a pole was placed in the center of lot surrounded by about a dozen picnic tables spaced far apart. Four or five dancers rotated on stage. I recognized a couple of the girls from pre-Covid19 visits. As usual for Christina’s, the dancers were somewhat older & heavier than what you might find at higher end clubs. But I’ve seen far worse elsewhere too. I’d put the dancers in the 5-7 range. The girls dance for a minute or two and then do a tip walk for a couple of minutes. The dancers outfits ranged from somewhat skimpy street clothes to small bikinis. Being outdoors, they didn’t strip down to county-mandated pasties that happens inside. No evidence of lap dances, but not surprised.

Lighting is provided by the parking lot’s sodium vapor lamp and speakers pointing out the second floor windows provided DJ-free music. Bottles & cans of beer were available at $5. But service was a bit slow; there was only one bartender/waitress and she was clearly overwhelmed. A few guys left after 20 minutes without being served. They need another waitress or two to really make this work.

No face masks in sight and most tables had 5 or 6 people. Not sure when they opened, but they had to turn the music off and stop dancing @ 11. We were welcome to stay past 11 and continue drinking, but things pretty much cleared out by 11:30. While I definitely look forward to a return to the full SC experience, it was a pleasant stop on the road back to normalcy.
