Good to be back again
After hearing that clubs had opened back up yesterday, I decided to venture out and see what a club experience is like post-lockdown. I got to the Criket around 5:30 and wandered in. No cover because it was before 7:00, but the door guy is wearing a mask. I had brought one with me in case it's required and yep, it is --At least until you sit down, then you can remove it.
The place seemed darker than normal, but maybe I'm just not used to going to a dark boobie bar anymore. I sat at a table between stage and bar and Remy got me a water, which was $5. At least I think it was Remy, she had most of her face covered. Tipped her five because I didn't expect to get much more to drink--and because I was just glad to be somewhere where I could see semi-naked girls on a stage again. There were maybe ten other patrons there, almost all older gentlemen.
I saw only three girls, all wearing masks. No one on stage, but soon I was joined by a Latina named Sasha. I asked if she wanted me to put my mask back on and she said no and asked if I wanted her to keep hers on. Nope.
We chatted a while and she told me a lot of the girls didn't want to come back to work yet, so there were very few dancers available today. I counted three: Sasha, and two African American ladies. According to what the DJ said, one was Kimbella and the other was (I think) Dream. Since there were so few dancers, each would get on stage for three songs, then the DJ would play two "rest songs" where no one danced.
