Club Opening Status (not an actual review)

This is just an update of the club opening status (not an actual review as Dooks remains closed due to COVID-19). A little background...here in Iowa restaurants in rural counties were allowed to open May 1st, and the remainder of the status in mid-May. Bars could re-open on May 27/28th, and casino's at end of the month. However public entertainment venues with live entertainment (mainly music concerts and such) had to wait until at least June 18th.

Thus most everyone assumed the strip clubs would re-open on Thursday, May 28th. Lumberyard in Cedar Rapids actually tried to open May 22nd for the Memorial Day weeked, posted on Facebook and notified their dancers; however several hours later this was all canceled. Now Dooks and Lumberyard planned to re-open on Friday, May 29th, again updating their social media status, notifying dancers, etc. My understanding is that front door staff may have masks and dividing plastic barriers (most placed did already), and no contact was going to be allowed at the stage rail, but private dances, etc. would still be allowed (after the obligatory use of hand sanitizer before going back for both you and our new dancer friend).

Then early on Friday they announced they were told to remain closed by the state (I guess they are being classified as a live entertainment venue versus a bar) with earliest re-opening date of June 18th or so (unless the state sees the need to reverse some of the re-opening timing). I havent' heard or seen anything specific for other local clubs.
