Sunday Night Blues

I dropped by Leopards Sunday last. There were few cars in the parking lot, so I suspected that the place was not very busy. Leopards needed a face lift. It hasn't been spruced up since it opened over twenty years ago, and it hasn't changed much since it was the old Lipps Lounge. The bar was really old, the stage is overly large and the seating uncomfortable and cramped.

I was charged a cover charge of $5, an absolute ripoff that has become the norm for the Katzman bars (Cheetahs and Alley Katz also charge cover) but an anomaly in Windsor. No other strip bars charge cover in Windsor. I was also subjected to a weapons search and paddle scan by the bouncer. Such inconvenience even though I do look like a criminal.

At least the waitress, a librarian type with brown hair and glasses, was reasonably efficient. The barmaid, an EE with long blond hair, was a honey. She also used to dance air dances there. A soft drink was now $10. Everything here was subject to price inflation. Even the use of the VIP room entails $10 for a bracelet. $25 and I haven't even put my ass in a chair.
