Odd neighborhood joint

What an odd place. For some reason I was expecting a kind of upscale club, but it was a hole-in-the-wall neighborhood joint in what looked like a kind of marina community a few miles from BWI airport.

I went on a Saturday night. There was a pretty hefty cover ($16 or something like that). From the outset it did not look like it was going to be worth it, but I was curious so I paid.

It's a fairly small place. Right when you go in there's a square bar with dancers on runway in the middle. That puts a bar between you and the dancers, which is not ideal. It's BYOB, another thing that's not ideal. They sell soda, but in my case the bartender was slow and not paying attention to my side of the bar, so I went a long time with nothing to drink.

The dancers were not at all attractive. They got nude, then mingled with customers after their dance. For the most part everyone seemed to know one another, so it was friendly but not a lot of business being transacted.

From the bar you can see a back room where they do private dances (in the open). Next to that is a pool table, and behind that is the dancers' dressing room which you can look straight into. That was kind of a nice feature.
