Talk of the Town used to be my go-to club in Vegas. It was seedy and probably scared some people away, but I appreciated the low cost and low key atmosphere. Over time things changed a little, the dances got more expensive and the cover doubled so I stopped going. Well tonight I decided on a whim to stop in the place...

I’m not writing to tell you that it is great. I’m writing to tell you that if you have ever thought about visiting I would do it soon. It was beyond dead in there on a saturday night. I thought maybe I’d walk around the dusty old DVDs for a few minutes before deciding whether or not to pay the cover. One of the dancers just hung out at the counter with the two guys working there the whole time I was there. I heard NO MUSIC coming from the stage area. (Keep in mind this is 11pm on a weekend... prime time) One other dancer came out from the back for a minute, completely nude and completely bored. The worst sign to me though was there was rain water dripping from the ceiling and all over the floor and nobody seemed to care at all. It’s like they had all given up on the place...

From what I’ve gathered over the years, the owner of Talk of the Town is the same person that owned that Showgirls peep show down the street. That place was in similar disrepair and closed down not too long ago. I’d say Talk of the Town is next.... so if you ever thought about checking out this little oddity of a locals strip club DO IT NOW before it’s too late!!
