Air Dances and Reserved Seats
Use to be a regular weekly visitor but that changed about two years ago. At this visit, it has been about six months since my last visit, so I stopped by to see if anything has changed. Visited on a Thursday, early afternoon. Plenty of free parking and no cover charge (night time cover is $10 I think and it starts at 7 pm). During the day, there is someone sitting at the door but they never really say anything to me. They usually never ask for ID, but I was asked to show it this time.
The place has been described before but here is a quick lay of the land. The place has two bars, a larger one to the left when you walk in and a smaller one towards the right back corner. Speaking of the back-right corner, past the back bar is a doorway and that is where you find the bathrooms. Also, back there is an ATM machine and there is another one towards the front of the club, at the end of the bar next to a cigarette machine. The club has three stages, but mostly during the day they only have one going – it is right in front of you when you walk in. the other stages are along the side wall and next to the back bar. The one by the back bar is usually the second stage in rotation. (Girls usually do three song sets.) I would say there is no seats next to any of the stages. Occasionally a chair or two is put next to the big stage in the middle of the room, but hardly any takes during the day. At night, the place can get a little more crowded so people may opt to sit there instead of standing. Plenty of tables scattered throughout and high tables along the walls. For a while now they have had signs on the high tables that say they are VIP and reserved for bottle service, but what was new this time was almost every seat on the front and back bar had reserved signs at them. The bar was basically empty – this makes no sense to me. During the day, there are plenty of tables to sit at. But if you go at night, I have seen people get kicked off a table, especially solo guys, so they can sit a group. (Bit of a power trip by the bouncers). I use to know the bartenders pretty well, so they would save me a sit at the bar. The place has 6 VIP rooms and one VIP upstairs in the loft area. I think that covers it.
Before I continue, I would say this is a regular’s club, especially regulars that spend money. Everything about is club is about regulars, seating, dancers. They get treated differently from anyone else. Waitresses will walk right by you to take their drink order or keep you waiting while they chit chat. Dancers sit with regulars for hours. Some never dance, they just sit and talk. Some end up going VIP, sometimes it is just a hug and goodbye. I assume at night, if you were sitting at a table and some regular’s come in, your group would get booted from a table. And you could throw a hundred one’s at a girl on stage and if you are lucky, she will come thank you but more likely than not she would just go back to the regular’s table she came from. And yes, you will hear the girls complain they make no money after sitting five hours at a table chit chatting with a regular.
