Good Afternoon Trip to Tooties, But You Have to Find the Right Girl (Obviously)

This review is from a weekday visit early in January around 2:00 in the afternoon. I hadn't been to Tootsies in a long time, so I figured I'd check it out and give the private rooms are whirl. When I first went in, the bouncer asked to see my ID, which kind of surprised me as there is no way I'd pass for under 21, and I've never been asked for an ID at a FL club before. He didn't scan it - just looked at it. There was no cover charge at that time.

The inside of Tootsies has been described a number of times in other reviews. The short version is this: Tootsies is huge and cavernous. The main stage is towards the back as you walk in, there is elevated VIP seating on the first floor to the right of the stage. Restrooms and $75 VIP rooms ($100 night shift) are to the right about 100 feet or so in from the entrance. Stairs to go up to the second floor VIP are behind the reception counter near the entrance. It's $20 to go up to the second floor after 7:00 p.m., but no charge to go upstairs before then. If you leave the second floor after 7:00 p.m., you have to pay $20 for the wristband to go back up. The $100 ($150 night shift) VIP rooms without windows are on the second floor. I don't know how much the second floor VIP rooms with windows are as I didn't partake. They are bigger with two couches - the smaller 2nd floor VIP rooms don't have windows, and have only one couch. There is a restroom in the hallway of the $100/windowed VIP dance area.

Tootsies has one of the more active day shifts in north Miami area, which is in contrast to other clubs like Scarlett's, Vixens, and Solid Gold. There were probably a good 40+ girls working. More than half of the girls were Latina, the rest were Caucasian, and there were three AAs that I saw. No Asians. I posted up in the 1st floor VIP area near the rail (no charge during the day) so I could get a good view of the stage. The waitress found me pretty quickly, and brought me a water - it wasn't expensive as far as strip clubs are concerned. I don't recall the exact amount, but I remember being surprised at the cost as it was a lot less than what I've paid at other places - it was something like $2 to $4.
