Mediocre Weekday Visit

Stopped at Silk for the first time in at least 6 years in between meetings. Pretty much what I remembered, large stage with multiple poles, oval-shaped bar and lots of tables. It was late afternoon when I arrived so I didn't have to get wanded with the metal detector but still had to pay the $10 cover charge, not sure if it goes up later in the day like Club OTB does. You are also required to show your driver's license regardless of your age so don't leave it in your vehicle. There were 6 or 7 dancers working at that time and only a few customers. The staff was huddled together talking for most of the time I was there and it took a bit for the bartender to come over. Girls were decent looking but no knockouts and each danced 3 songs before starting the obligatory Wisconsin tip walk. The DJ wasn't obnoxious and announced the dancer's name several times during her set, this is a welcome change from many clubs.

Eventually I talked to Scarlet and got the rundown on dance pricing. Lapdances on the main floor are $20 each and they run a daytime special until 6:00 P.M. of 3 for $50. She said you can't touch the dancer in this room. If you go upstairs the lapdances are 3 for $100 and you can touch the dancer as long as you stay away from areas that are clothed. They also have VIP rooms available at rates of 15-minutes for $175 or 30-minutes for $300. She said the rules in these rooms are basically the same as the upstairs lapdances, just more time. You also get two drinks when you get a room. She made it clear that there aren't any extras available. Maybe she was being cautious with a new customer and maybe other girls are more open but I got the feeling that extras of any kind aren't available from her and more than likely most of the other dancers. I could go back multiple times and build a relationship with a specific dancer or two and see if that opens up the menu a bit but why bother when On the Border is a hell of a lot more fun? I had to leave after about 90 minutes but even if I didn't have a prior commitment I would have left anyways. I realize a weekday afternoon isn't prime time for a club but I adjusted my expectations accordingly and it was still an uninspiring visit.
