The Great and Powerful
So after a less-than-meh visit to MV's across the bay on a recent Thursday night, it took less than 20 minutes to get to Oz (traffic conspicuously missing on the bridge this late, which was good). As always, Oz was lit up like a veritable Emerald City upon the flat wastelands along US 19.
An $8 cover gets you in, and a small bar right at the front entrance next to the ATM serves up relatively cheap drinks ($8 and under for mixed drinks, beer quite a bit cheaper). This little bar is very convenient and usually no wait, in contrast with the long, elevated, serpentine bar that dominates the back walls of the main club, which is nearly impossible to maneuver through when it is packed with punters and their dancer dates. The big bar also doesn't have enough staff which makes it nearly impossible to get attention. Conversely, the area around the dance stages is almost always nearly empty (the chairs are vacant), despite some quality dancers. Going up to the edge of the stage makes you stand out in this club. And in a place where the regulars rule, it's one way you can get attention from the dancers you want to spend time with, which up to now has been my main gripe about this place - the girls you want to be with are continuously "taken". The girls who are just hanging out, for the most part, tend to be mainly 5s and 6s, and from my last couple times here, a few borderline ROBs.
This time was better. With a few exceptions of porkers and a few Latinas with too much make-up, this was a solid group, a large number of blondes and Americanas.....definitely more girls with scientific enhancements than at Mons tonight, but mostly natural and good size. The first girl who approached me as I stood in the area between the bar and the stage was a somewhat shy Russian blonde named Alexandra, with a very heavy accent (obviously little KGB training).
