I left my guard down, got robbed on a busy Friday

The Gold Club is located in an industrial area of South Charlotte just off a busy thoroughfare and very close to a light rail station. The area seems safe. It has a decent sized parking lot which could use major repair. When I arrived on Friday the lot was very full for the normal daytime at Gold.

You enter to a station where the cover is collected, but no cover during the day. The entry is nicely updated. Once you pass the cover area the bar is all the way to the back and the club is off to the right. The main stage is up front to the right, but not heavily used during the day. The main floor has lots of tables and chairs and there are also chairs around the outside areas. These chairs are where the $10 floor dances are done. No privacy at all. There is this slightly elevated area to the front which is somewhat private due to its location and elevation, but the story as to who can go up there and what it costs changes frequently. I have been going to Gold Club for 15 years and rarely go up there.

Gold Club also has an upstairs which has a VIP area where the dances are $30 (some girls will give you 2 for deals and once in a while the club offers a 2 for) which used to seem a bit more private and there is also an area called the executive lounge which at the front end and is slightly more private but has a camera (not sure if it works/or if someone monitors).
