Been a While ...
First time I had been in Fancy's in almost a year. Not much had changed. The atmosphere was pretty much the same and the usual characters were there: Heather was managing, working the bar, and the door; James was playing the tunes for the ladies; and speaking of ladies, there was Barbie, Mel'B, Cashmere, and one that I didn't know and couldn't catch her name and one other gentleman helping with general cleanup. Ms. C, the owner, and her son, Joe, were in and out taking down the Christmas decorations. In between playing music, James was helping with removing the Christmas decorations. As usual the club was pretty laid back. The main stage was out of use and the small, center stage was the only one being used. The private dance area saw some action but not from me. Of all the ladies there, Barbie and Cashmere were the friendliest. Cashmere greeted me after I had sat down and Barbie joined me at my table. No change in the furniture, same relatively comfortable - if older - chairs that have been there for several years. The private dance area had the same couches from the last time I was in and they seemed to be in relatively good shape. No beer/liquor specials the Wednesday I went in but that's not unusual.
I watched all the talent take their turns on stage while getting comfortable and drinking my beer. Barbie and Cashmere had the most energy and gave the pole on the small center stage a workout. I tipped Barbie but Cashmere's customer she was sitting with kept her busy with tips when she went up. Mel'B and the lady I didn't know went up but were not that energetic on stage. This could have been because of there only being a few customers in the club or they were just tired or they weren't lubricated enough with alcohol. Barbie came over and joined me at my table. We talked and caught up with what each other had been doing. Barbie asked for a shot of Jack Daniel's black and I bought her one. Cashmere came over, stuck her tongue in my ear, and whispered she wanted me in the private dance area. I told her it wouldn't be happening but I would catch up to her the next time I was in. Cashmere gives a very sensuous dance and I hated to not have a couple from her. Barbie gives a very good dance, too. Neither engage in any activity that would get dancer or customer busted if the local LEOs came in. Others, well let's just say you hope a signal is given. Fancy's is known for action on the couches from some of the dancers. Depending who you get, YMMV.
One other note, Fancy's now has some immediate daytime competition. A new club opened right next door - Secrets, which replaced the defunct Whispers - and it now opens at 2pm. Comparing parking lots, Fancy's was killing the new club. They share the gravel lot but the majority of vehicles were on Fancy's side. Don't know anything about the new place but may check it out when I get the chance. Also, I might check out LDs, back up the road, to see if they have resurrected an afternoon life.
Overall, though, Fancy's is still the go to place in the daytime in Valley Brook. It isn't fancy but it is comfortable. The beverages that are supposed to be cold are, the liquor is decent if a bit overpriced, and the women are warm and usually good entertainment. All in all, though almost a year had passed since I'd last been there, nothing much was changed.
