New Years Nearly Wasted

Okay so I have to put an asterisk on this review because I got so upset that it may be a bit biased. I’m going to try to be fair though. I went here for New Years Eve. I parked my truck and was hell bent to go out and enjoy myself. When I got there they were pretty busy already. They tried to get me to buy a table for $50 as it was New Years Eve which came with a bottle of champagne. I declined at first thinking these folks are trying to hustle people. I was told if I chose not to pay for a table I could sit for free unless someone bought it and I would have to move. I decided to take my chances still convinced it was just a hustle. I sat down and was immediately approached by a sexy latina. I told her I needed to eat first but she was welcome to join me. She sat down and recommended some menu items since I was starving. I got a quesadilla that was amazing and filled me up. It’s basic bar food but definitely good. After that I bought her a girl drink which is some overpriced juice or water but the waitress was at least upfront and honest that it was a kickback drink and some of the money went to the girl. I believe it was $20 which I would’ve tipped the girl anyway so I bought it. After a while I noticed a lot of people being moved from tables because they were being bought. I finally decided this might be a hustle but it was definitely legit. I decided to pay the $50 for the table so I didn’t get moved and that’s when things went south. The bar tried to charge my card $400 and my bank froze it. The bar claimed it was a preauthorization, but my bank said it was run as a purchase. I’m not really sure what happened but I’m sure it was an honest mistake, however, when a manager came over he was quite an ass about it. Telling me it was not a charge. I tried telling him my bank disagreed but he just became belligerent and I quickly told him we should just stop talking. I then had to call my bank (again New Years Eve) which took an hour. Got everything cleared up but was pretty agitated by the whole ordeal. I ended up leaving and going to the Lipstick Cabaret which saved my night. I will write a review on them as well. Long story short, the place seemed fun and the girls were great but thanks to a mistake by the bar and a bullheaded manager the night was nearly a disaster. I would probably not return just because I don’t like having egotistical managers at these places just in case something goes south, but I’m sure most of the time it’s just fine...

Almost forgot. This place did what they call a dollar dance which is basically a little sample of the girls. They give you a mini lap dance at your table for about 15 seconds for a dollar. I tipped a few cute girls $5 instead which they really appreciated. I thought this was a cool idea by the bar.
