First trip since the Reopening
As many who frequent the area know, Scarlett's had been closed since early June due to a fire and renovations. The club reopened in late November, but this was my first chance to check it out since then. Scarlett's has been my go to stop in this area for awhile now, so I was anxious to see what changes had been made. Outside, the club is pretty similar: large building with a large, safe parking lot. They claim to have put in a new neon sign, but since I went during the day, it looked pretty similar to the old one. Inside, the club's layout has definitely changed, though. There is now a large reception area as you walk in before entering the actual club where they take your cover charge, compared to a small corridor with a window that they had before. Luckily, days are still free entry it seems.
Walking into the actual club, I could see that they had definitely made some significant changes. While there is still two stages for dancers and a center bar, the club looks overall more spacious. The locations for things in the club had also changed, as the private dance booths (still the cubicles with glass doors) used for nude dances had moved across the club on the same side as the bar, and the room used for semi-private topless dances was gone entirely. I'm not sure if they do these types of dances at all anymore, as no one mentioned them when trying to sell dances.
Prices seemed to be around the same as they were previously, with nude dances costing $40 each or three for $100. Before the fire, Thursdays were a good day to go due to lower drink prices, and that seems to have remained as well, as a beer cost me a little over $3. The bar seems well stocked, and they now have several beers on tap that I don't think they had before.
