First Visit Since Latest Club Renovations
Given how often strip clubs close or change names & ownership, it's rare to find one that's been around as long as Atlanta's Tattletale Lounge. Originally opened circa 1976, the club gained national prominence with a shoutout in Motley Crue's 80's PL Anthem "Girls, Girls, Girls" and has kept itself operating for another three decades since. I'd heard the club had recently undergone a significant remodeling, so I stopped in to check out how the changes might affect the customer experience.
Anyone that's visited this club before is aware that by Atlanta standards it's small, the single-story painted wood building offering little sign of its storied history to passing traffic. Starting about 8pm there's a charge for parking (valet is an option but you can self-park if you ask), plus a cover as you enter. If memory serves total in-the-door cost was $15, not unreasonable for a night shift.
Entering the club the bar is the same as always, straight ahead, with the main - and now only - stage on the right. The curtained VIP rooms that used to be on the front wall and the enclosed rooms to the left between the bar and the door are now open booth seating, which seems to be reserved for a premium charge (though I did note at least one dancer using an empty booth as a lap dance area, before there was a significant crowd). Otherwise the "front" side of the club seemed pretty much the same as before - it wasn't broken so nothing to fix.
