Checking out the Pony

Having heard all the stories about changes in the Huntsville club scene, I decided to see for myself. During previous visits to the Pony for the afternoon shift, I found there was usually no cover. This time there was a cover of $5 and the bartender put a wristband on me. Not sure what that is for.

No physical changes to the downstairs portion of the club. The layout was the same with a long center stage (empty most of the time I was there). There were significantly fewer dancers on the job for this visit and the quality was not as high as my previous visits to this club. Admittedly, I don’t visit the Pony often, but when I have, their dancers were the most attractive in Huntsville. At least for this day shift, the dancers were decent, but not at the same level as before. Could have just been an off day.

Shortly after arriving around 5 PM, the handful of dancers working began to filter out. There were only about 5 guys in the club and by around 6, I would guess there were two dancers “on stage” and some night shift girls in the dressing room. One night shift dancer arrived a bit early, dressed quickly, and immediately was snapped up by a customer and was upstairs for close to an hour. I think her name was Amber and she was a very pretty brunette with a really firm, toned body. I hung around until she did get on stage and her stage performance was athletic and she was obviously quite flexible.
