Hideous by any measure

I walked in on a Thursday evening around 6pm. There was a very weird vibe in the club; very uncomfortable - for a reason I still cannot put my finger upon.

I walked in through the door, found a spot at the bar, and ordered a beer for about $5. The bartender was moderately attentive, and ancient. The bouncer was anchored at the bar, chatting with the most attractive dancer in the club; a 30-ish blonde.

A dancer who is not my type was on stage (concentration camp lean). Two busty older women kept peaking out from the ladies room to see what was transpiring in the club (one white, one black). I had read somewhere that the chesty African American dancer was fun in the lap dance area, so I held hope that might work out. But, she kept to herself behind a closed door from which she poked her head out every few minutes.
