I decided to cough up $20 this past Saturday to try out the Upper Brass (UB) instead of being another sardine in the Lower Brass. For those who don't know, the UB is simply the second level of the Brass Rail strip club in downtown Toronto. For a one-time cover of $20, customers get access for the night to the second level of the club. You can go back-and-forth between the two levels but cannot have a drink with you when you do so. So if you go up, you'll need to finish whatever drink you purchase at the UB before venturing back downstairs (and vice-versa).

The two biggest selling points for the Upper Brass is that: (1) it's far less congested than the main level and (2) your dances will take place in a more private curtained booth as opposed to out in the open downstairs. I also found the bar staff at the UB a little more professional for what that's worth. The drinks are the same price (it would suck if they were extra at the UB but thankfully they are not). $10.75 for a beer is quite enough.

On this particular night, I sat down and watched the show in quite a bit more comfort than I would have been able to do downstairs. I had dances from two girls. One of them was a cute, fit, early 30s blond who actually told me she tries to avoid the lower level. To me, this was not the norm as most dancers don't sequester themselves on one level. To find one that said she did, actually served as a selling point for me that would somewhat increase my chances of coming up here again. But it bears mention that this is not the case for most dancers. Nonetheless, it was worth mentioning.
